Strawberry picking
We went strawberry picking today at a local strawberry patch. The kids loved it and had a great time! We had attempted to go last weekend, but after driving for 20 minutes, we got there, and it had closed...several hours early! Leah tried soooo hard not to cry - her lip was trembling and her eyes were filled with tears...so we got ice cream instead! Leah loved picking the berries off and would put them in the bucket and then take them out and eat them! Parker enjoyed just running up and down the rows and would dump our buckets out every now and then too, ha!
On our way home, we stopped at an antique store that is going out of business. Because the kids were tired, Bryan just went in to look around. He had been in for a while, and I decided to change Parker's diaper. Well, when I closed the door, all the doors locked because the key was in the ignition! I freaked out, of course, so to make a long story short, we called a locksmith, who got there in 15 minutes, and didn't charge us!!! We could not believe they were so nice, but were relieved to get the kids out of the car because they were both BAWLING!!! I guess I've learned a valuable lesson...never get out of the car when the key is in the ignition!
