Here are several pictures from our trip to the beach last week. Our friends Travis, Amber, and Gavin who live in River Falls, Wisconsin met us there. Travis and Amber were in grad school at Texas A&M with Bryan. Gavin, who is 3 1/2, and Leah played pretty well together, despite the fact that Gavin wanted to hold Leah's hand, which she would have nothing to do with! We drove over to Seacrest Beach one afternoon and the kids had fun playing in the water that would shoot out of the ground. Parker was so funny because he would put his face down where the water would come out and it would spray him in the face! He did this over and over again! The kids enjoyed dancing to the music and at one point, Leah had several people watching her dance...it was hilarious! Leah was so sad to leave "Grandmary's beach" and said she did not want to come home! Hopefully, we'll get to go back later this summer.
We got back on Thursday night, and on Friday I decided to start going full force with potty training Leah. There was a lady on the Today Show who is known as "The Potty Whisperer" (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25057503/) who potty trains in just 1 day by forcing the kids to take responsibility of their own bodies. Leah has done FANTASTIC and has not had a diaper on (except for nap and bedtimes) for 2 days now! We are firm believers in the Potty Whisperer's method now! I am hoping that this technique continues to work for her, but knock on wood, she runs to the potty now whenever "the teetee is coming"!

I need to clarify that I was NOT nearly as harsh as the "Potty Whisperer"! In fact, I did not watch the video of her in action until yesterday 2 days after I started training her! I had just read the article and went from there when I trained her. I was a little worried after watching it that people would think I was being that mean...thanks Jerae for pointing it out to me!
