We went for a week with my parents, Irby and Debbie to Townsend, TN, a little town in the Smoky Mountains. We had such a great and relaxing time! Bryan had to teach for the first half of the week, but drove down on Wednesday night after class. The kids had a great time with Rere and Papa and Aunt Debbie and Uncle Irby. Our cabin was right on the river, which was super super low because of the lack of rain, but we were still able to tube down most of the way. We did have to push each other through several rocks, but that was ok. Bryan and Irby took the canoe down about 4 miles one morning to go fishing and after 5 hours, we started getting really worried about them, so Debbie and I went searching for them, but did not find them. About 30 minutes later, here they come floating down in the canoe....after having pushed it for the last 3.5 miles! Ha! We felt bad for them, but had gotten really worried and mad at them for being gone so long and not telling us where they were going! We took several day trips to Cades Cove, where we saw several black bears, and then shopping in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It was so nice to go back to this area because it is sooooo beautiful!
