San Francisco and the kids' trip to Rere and Papa's house

As most of you know, Bryan and I went to San Francisco last week. We flew from Birmingham to Houston and dropped the kids off with my parents, and then flew on to San Francisco. We had a blast! Bryan really only had to be at the conference for a short time, but played in the conference golf tournament on Wednesday like he does every year. I spent the day with our friend, Sandy, and her two sons, Alex and Mike. We went to the Exploratorium, a really neat hands-on science museum, to Ghiardelli Square, which was the original Ghiardelli chocolate factory, and to Chinatown. We had a great time! We shared a room with our friends, Travis and Amber and had fun catching up with them. We have not seen them in a while because they live in Wisconsin. On Thursday, we took a boat tour to Alcatraz and it was so interesting!

Friday was our most fun day because eleven of us rented a van and drove up to the Napa Valley. We toured the Beringer winery and then visited two other wineries for tastings. We had so much fun and drank a lot of wine!!!

We visitied Chinatown again, walked up Lombard Street (supposedly the most crooked street ever), and also Fisherman's Wharf. We had so much fun, but were glad to get back home on Sunday night. The kids were so happy to see us when we got to Houston! I think they had a good time though - they went to the Aquarium and to my mom's school. Parker's 1st birthday was on Friday when we were gone - I cannot believe he is already a year old! Here are a few pictures that my parents took of them when they were at their house.

I am not quite sure why he has a pink and purple bib on, but oh well!
